The Best Way to Make Money in College
If you’re in college, I know you could use some extra spending money. Wouldn’t you like to have a job where you work for yourself, have completely flexible hours, and do something you love? Well, try starting your own business! Not only is it a great way to make loads of cash, it also looks great on r?sum?s and applications. Starting your own business may sound like a lot of work, but trust me, it’s easier than you think. Follow these three simple steps and you will easily make money in college.
Step 1. Find your passion.
First, you need to figure out what you are passionate about. Do you like to help people? Are you a good cook? Do you know a lot about something? Make a list of everything you enjoy, are good at, or know a lot about (and I mean everything). From here, you will be able to turn your passion into a tool that can be used to make money.
Step 2. Turn it into a service.
There are tons of different ways you can make money in college. Just take some time to think about how you can turn your passion into a service. If you like helping people, start a house cleaning business or a car washing business. If you love kids, start a babysitting business. If you’re a good cook, talk to your campus dining administration about selling your baked goods in the dining hall (give them part of the profit so everybody wins!). If none of these sound good to you, try doing what I did and start your own website. If you know a lot about something, teach people! Start writing articles that can help or inform people on a certain subject. Then, post your articles on a blog. If you get enough viewers, you can make money in advertising. All of these are ways to make money in college by doing something you love.
Step 3. Be the best.
Now, anyone can babysit or wash someone’s car. You want to be the best. You want to grow your business and make more money than you ever dreamed of making while still in school. So, don’t just babysit one child. Give yourself a promotion and move up to a manager position. By this, I mean have your business connect people with potential clients. Find people who want to make extra money and connect them with people who want their house cleaned, their kids babysat, or an hour of tutoring every week. If you can be the manager of a business like this, you can take a percentage of everyone’s profit without doing any of the hard work.
By following these steps, you can turn your passion into your own business. You can easily make money working for yourself and doing something you love. Start your own business and start making money today!
